The Cluster Decarbonisation in Industries was founded in November 2021 on the initiative of institutions based in Cottbus (around 100 km south of Berlin). These initiators are the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (BTU), the Fraunhofer Research Institution for Energy Infrastructures and Geothermal Systems IEG, the Institute of Low-Carbon Industrial Processes at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) and the Competence Centre on Climate Change Mitigation in Energy-Intensive Industries (KEI).
Partner Network for a Greenhouse Gas-neutral Industrial Future
Fichtner is now a partner in the Cluster Decarbonisation of Industry (CDI), which sees itself as a provider of ideas and multiplier for the transformation process of industry towards climate neutrality in industry.
As an engineering and planning company in the energy industry, we are making an important contribution to the efforts of German industry to become CO₂-neutral by 2045. As part of this network, we see the opportunity to bundle synergies and competencies to develop new solutions for the transformation process of industry.
